RoLo Farms is a Pedigreed Seed and Commercial Grain Farm located NW of Regina, SK.
We're looking for a Production Agronomist to join our team to help provide us with agronomic knowledge and leadership to increase our return on investment. This role is not traditional in the sense that your focus will not be narrowed to production responsibilities. Your insights and opinions will be heard and applied, influencing the direction of RoLo Farms.
HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME:
- Scout fields for emergence inspections, weeds, insects, disease and nutrition issues, ensuring that applications occur when weather conditionals are optimal
- Document field evaluation of seed, chemical, specialty products and fertilizers
- Gather, compile, analyze and interpret test results and prepare progress reports
- Remain up to date on crop nutrition and protection technology
- Oversee all aspects of research programs and experiments, including managing trial sites
- Develop research programs incorporating current developments to improve existing products and study potential products to implement
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- A self starter with a Degree or Diploma in Agriculture, with a minimum of 5 years industry experience
- Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) designation would be considered an asset
- Applicants must be registered or need to become registered with the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists as defined by The Agrologists Act
