Ranchland Veterinary Services P.C. Ltd is looking to add another team member! We are looking for a motivated and hardworking full time Veterinary assistant/receptionist to join our team. We are a progressive large animal and embryo transfer practice. We offer both equine and bovine services to stocker operations, commercial cow-calf operations and feedlot clientele. Job requirements are:
- General reception duties including answering phone calls, booking appointments, client payments, assisting client checkout
- Process Drug orders
- Assist with monthly inventory counts, management of expired products and inventory returns
- Assist with order receiving and ensuring invoices are coded properly
- Attend clinic errands
- Administer daily treatments to in house donor cows
- Assist with donor cow flushes, embryo transfers, semen collections
- Provide vital support during breeding soundness evaluations, cattle processing and calving calls.
- Moving cattle through handling facilities and pens
- Must have a valid drivers license
The ideal candidate would have an interest in large animal care, bovine genetics, be detail orientated, hard working and self motivated.
Previous experience in Veterinary medicine is an asset but not required. Cattle handling experience is required.
Wage is dependent on experience and the successful candidate will have a start date of Sept 16, 2019.
