The Admin Assistant organizes and performs administrative tasks within the childcare centre under the direction of the Manager, providing professional skills that support employees and promote effective and efficient operations. Permanent, full-time position (40 hours/week), 9:00 am - 5:30 pm Monday to Friday, available immediately. Benefits & pension available after 6 mos. probation period.
General Responsibilities:
- Clerical support, including mail, email, reception (taking messages and assisting as required), records management, scheduling, order/maintain office supplies
- Prepare/handle confidential documents as required
- Manage various electronic and paper records and contact lists, track info and report to various management as required
- Independently manage office tasks and support team where help is needed
- Other support duties as required by the Nurse Supervisor(s)
Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service, written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional multi-tasking and organizational skills
- Intermediate computer skills in the use of word processing, spreadsheets and database packages (i.e. MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint & Access)
- Experience with records management, reception and other common office procedures
- Valid drivers license
- Min. 50 wpm typing speed
- Min. 2 years experience working in a dynamic administrative assistant role (varying departments/outside agencies)
