Residential Program Worker (Relief - All Locations, All Shifts)

The Residential Program Staff Member will provide a home-like atmosphere with a high quality of care to residents of the Porcupine Opportunities Program.  This is accomplished by allowing for maximum independence and a high quality of life for each individual.  In addition, Residential Program Staff ensures all residents are given the opportunity for as much community integration possible.

Responsibilities:
- Developing, prioritizing, and implementing daily plans for residents;
- Assisting all residents with their daily routines including hygiene needs;
- Planning and providing well-balanced, nutritional meals with residents needs in mind;
- Assisting residents in daily chores whenever possible and appropriate including housecleaning and laundry.
- Work in partnership with other staff to ensure the residents needs are met.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work with multiple residents while remaining focused on each individuals needs.
- Ability to follow instructions and to think and act independently when needed.
- effectively communicated with supervisors, co-workers, and program clients.
- Help lift and support participants when needed.
- Preference will be given to individuals with post-secondary training and/or experience in a profession related to working with individuals with disabilities and/or health care.
- Training in CPR and First Aid an asset.
