The QA Technician will be responsible for daily compliance activity, including review of batch records and documentation, facility audits, material inspection and release amongst other quality-related functions helping contribute to overall Quality Department goals.
Key Responsibilities
Ongoing review of batch records and quality system documentation
Upkeep and audit of documents and records, including SOP
Enforcing QA and regulatory standards to ensure compliance, while providing technical assistance to production staff
Working with operations staff to address deficiencies (documentation, etc.)
Inspection and release of incoming materials, raw materials, finished products
Verifying sanitation activities, as well as equipment and premises audits
Complaint review and investigation
Deviation review and Corrective Action follow up
Inventory audits and reconciliation within operational areas
Skills and Requirements
Post-secondary education in a technical discipline (Food, Chemical, Biological Sciences, or similar)
Experience working in a regulated environment (GMP, GLP, HACCP) such as food processing plant, pharmaceutical industry, or similar
Experience in (establishing and) maintaining controlled documents (standards, policies, procedures, work flows)
Functional capability with software (ERP, QMS, LIMS, etc.), and proficiency with MS Excel and Word
Good interpersonal communication skills, able to relate information to all levels of personnel within the organization
Self-directed in execution of tasks, with a high degree of personal integrity
Attention to detail, organizational skills, critical thinking
Familiarity of the Cannabis Act/ Cannabis Regulations, ACMPR is an asset, but not required
