The Facilitator is a specialist, providing professional support to T4EA and school staff focusing on promising practices and encouraging effective student engagement and retention. This individual will play a key role in identifying and implementing effective strategies for land-based learning and innovative classroom applications.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in Education at a minimum
Valid Professional A Saskatchewan teachers certificate
Classroom teaching experience, ideally with middle years and/or high school students
Experience and knowledge in land-based learning and/or specialization in experiential learning strategies
Demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience in effective instructional practices, student retention strategies and innovative approaches designed to engage middle years students and their families
Knowledge, skills and experience in First Nations/Indigenous education, including land-based/experiential learning, Treaty education, Indigenous language/culture
Passionate and committed to working with First Nations children, youth and families, using a strength/asset-based approach that aligns to the goal, vision and mandate of the Treaty 4 Education Alliance.
Above average technology skills, with demonstrated skills in using a variety of devices and applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
A valid Saskatchewan drivers license and a reliable vehicle is a requirement.
