Candidates are invited to apply for the Kitchen Assistant part time Position at West Park Crossing Retirement Community of Moose Jaw a 79 suite retirement community, located in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Hours are Saturday and Sunday 10:30am-7:00pm. Pay is $13 per hour
Reporting to the Director of Culinary Services.
Kitchen Assitant JOB DESCRIPTION
OVERALL JOB PURPOSE
prepping food and baking dessert's .Prepare, wash, and store dishes. Assist with serving meals and bussing tables. Work as a team member with other employees to assure efficient, safe operation of the kitchen and the dining room.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Meet provincial health related requirements.
Maintain food handlers permit as required by provincial regulations.
Maintain any other certifications as required by provincial regulations.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare, bake, and plate dessert's. Cutting of vegetables and other kitchen prep. Prepare, wash, and store dishes.
Clean and sanitize dishwashing area.
Assist with serving meals.
Assist with bussing tables.
Assist with setting tables.
Cleaning dining room, private dining room and coffee shop including vacuuming, dusting, windows and general cleaning.
Complete Frig Temperature Log at required times.
Perform other duties as assigned by Executive Chef, Sous Chef, or Cook.
NOTE: No one under the age of 18 can operate or clean specific equipment to include but not be limited to: Robot coupe, meat slicer, blender, knives, mixers, steamers, grill, and fryer.
Dishwashing Skills
