Working as part of a team, under the supervision of the Program Supervisor this position is responsible for facilitating programs/delivering curriculum for youth 13-19 years of age.
Qualifications:
2years combined education/experience relevant to the position
At least 1 year experience facilitating groups and an understanding of group dynamics and development
Experience working with at-risk populations preferably aged 11-19 years
Understanding of conflicts that young people experience
Understanding of substance abuse and the effects of problematic use
Knowledge of community resources relevant to the needs of youth
Understanding of program development
Knowledge of program planning and implementation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work flexible hours and transport youth
Valid Saskatchewan Driver's license
Ability to work as a team player as well as being capable of carrying out assigned tasks independently
Hours of work: 74 hours every two weeks, with hours scheduled in the evening Tuesday-Friday and every 2nd Saturday 12:00 P.M. - 5:30 P.M.
