The Salvation Army is looking for a qualified and dedicated individual for the Chaplain position at Bethany Home.
The Chaplain is required to demonstrate empathy, concern, and interest in providing quality care to residents in accordance with The Salvation Army values & standards.
The Chaplain provides Christian based pastoral care within shelter, church, and community settings in accordance with approved pastoral care practices, as well as organizing and leading program activities.
The following qualifications are considered minimum:
-Graduate of The Salvation Army Training College or the chaplaincy program at Booth University
-Or graduation from an accredited institution in the area of chaplaincy
-Or alternative level of education and experience in chaplaincy and/or spiritual care may be considered
-Criminal and Vulnerable Sector Check
-Federal Personnel Screening
Experience Requirement:
At least 2 years experience in Pastoral Care and/or Chaplaincy preferably in a social services setting as well as experience dealing with mental health issues, substance use, addictions, death, dying, incarceration and family issues.
First Aid/CPR Certificate is required.

Hours of work: 20 hours per week
Wage: Dependent on experience & qualifications
