Job Overview:
Perform payroll function for all Canadian business units, including remittances and reporting
Create and file T4s for all Canadian business units
Monitor legislative changes and ensure compliance related to internal policies and procedures
Create, review, monitor, enforce, and audit Human Resources systems and procedures
Coordinate recruitment initiatives, including immigration of new employees to Canada
Prepare weekly and monthly HR metrics reports for management
Establish standardized Human Resources procedures and train management to execute
Manage and evaluate employee benefit packages and incentive programs
Clerical support (ie: organizing documents, database management, creating reports)
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years in a similar role
Training in human resources and payroll, or education in a related field
Preference given to candidates with Certified Payroll Manager(CPM) and Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designations
Strong understanding of employment law in Saskatchewan
Demonstrated understanding of full scope of Human Resource functions and best practices
Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
Strong business sense
The ability to self-teach
Initiative in problem solving
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, with high level skills in Word, Excel and Outlook
Experience with accounting software
