Job Description: The Social Worker uses professional skills to asisst and provide interventions aimed at assisting clients and families cope with health related issues. Under the direction of the Director of Acute Care - Southwest the incumbent will support Program Managers to ensuring the goals and needs of the client are met in keeping with the mission, vision and values of the former Cypress Health Region.


Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Social Work
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW)
Experience
Clinical Experience in mental health setting
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Conflict resolution skills
Basic computer skills
Ability to provide public/educational presentations
Ability to enter and retrieve data in a computer database system
Knowledge of Recovery philosophy
Ability to work independently and in a self-motivated manner, ability to respond under pressure
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary setting
Knowledge of community resources including treatment programs and support agencies is essential
Knowledge of a variety of intervention strategies (individual and group) for individuals with mental health and addiction problems in a community based setting, including, but not limited to: assessment, triage, treatment, case management
Ability to identify, implement and evaluate areas of client difficulty across a wide range of clinical presentation and formulate evidence based interventions
Cultural competency skills
Knowledge and practical application of the Mental Health Services Act and Health Information Protection Act
Public relation ski
