The Plumber Apprentice participates in jobs involved in the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing fixtures and systems such as water, hydronic, drain, waste and vent (DWV), low pressure steam, and gas fitting. They may also be involved in the installation of specialized system such as medical gas, process piping, compressed air, water conditioners, fuel piping, sewage and water treatment, and storage and flow equipment. Work is directed by the Plumber Journey person based on the Apprentices skill level, timelines and complexity of the task. The Apprentice follows established guidelines and procedures. Assignments are received orally or through written work orders and may be accompanied by blueprints, detailed plans, sketches, etc.
Mechanical and mathematical aptitude
Good hand-eye coordination, spatial perception and manual dexterity.

Excellent communication skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to listen and follow directions.
Valid Saskatchewan drivers license (Class 5) with acceptable driving record.
Familiarity with computer applications used in the industry.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Be able to provide hand tools as required by level of apprenticeship
SCOT Safety Training is required to be completed before employment would begin.
