Description

The Forklift Operator - Shipping and Receiving will be responsible supplying or moving materials and products to various areas of production to ensure efficient workflow.

Job Duties
- Operate lifting devices such as forklift inside welding and Pre-fab areas
- Communicate with Pre-fab and Welding Supervisors to have material in place for all areas to ensure smooth workflow
- Load and unload Front-End Container line, Roll Off Container line, and plasma cutter
- Supply Pre-fab area with new material, count to ensure proper quantities and store in proper place
- Adhere to established safe working procedures and wear the proper safety equipment at all times
- Receive and process warehouse stock products, count and place items in their proper storage location.
- Report any discrepancies in inventory to management
- Complete all necessary paperwork at the end of the shift, including daily logs, inspection logs, delivery receipts, vehicle inspection, and hours of service, following applicable provincial and federal regulations
- Sort and package hardware for orders prior to shipping
- Alert Supervisor to any cases of missing documentation, shipments, or deliveries
- Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements
- Experience with equipment operation - forklift experience an asset
- Self-motivated, goal and team-oriented
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
- Ability to work individually as well as part of a team
- Demonstrated time management skills
- Positive attitude, enthusiastic, and dedicated
