We are seeking a visionary and empowering leader to provide strategic direction to the Ministry of Social Services in order to ensure the Ministry has the appropriate financial, technological, operational strategies and frameworks in place to deliver high quality programs and services to their clients.

Leading with a strong collaborative approach and in partnership with the senior executive team, the Assistant Deputy Minister brings focus and innovation to lead transparent processes, provides quality services and ensures integration and accountability are in place for the Ministry to fulfill its mandate and achieve its goals.

Reporting to the Deputy Minister, the Assistant Deputy Minister will work in strategic partnership with other Ministry executives to ensure a ministry-wide perspective is incorporated into the delivery of a diverse range of programs and services which include:  
establishing the framework and strategic direction of the Ministry with a strong focus on performance measures and accountability; overseeing the management of a 1.2 billion dollar budget and ensuring financial and business processes are strategically aligned and managed effectively; managing current and emerging information technology systems and processes to support and align with the business and programs; and developing a corporate policy framework that achieves sound policy approaches and ensures alignment of policies and processes that result in successful outcomes of Ministry goals.
