Regalia/Ribbon Skirts Instructor
As a Regalia/Ribbon Skirt Instructor of the Saskatoon Indian and Metis Friendship Centre, you will teach a group of up to 15 people (from ages 9 and up) how to make Regalia/Ribbon Skirts.
The position will be an evening term from mid September 2019 until March 2020. Maximum 3 hours per week.
Qualifications:
Relevant combination of work and experience will be considered
Experience in teaching Regalia/Ribbon Skirts.
Experience in storytelling and First Nations/Metis history, mainly related to Regalia/Ribbons Skirts.
Understanding of Saskatoons Aboriginal Community.
Preference will be given to First Nation/Metis Candidates (Please self-identify).
Ability to teach the group how to make patterns from scratch, design, sew and complete their outfit.
Female candidate preferred.
