Description

The Co-operative Retailing System (CRS) is a unique, multi-billion dollar organization based on the fundamental principles of co-operation. It is comprised of a network of approximately 250 autonomous retail co-operatives across Western Canada along with their branch operations, and Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL). FCL is the wholesaling/manufacturing arm of the CRS, which provides the retail co-ops with a range of products and services.

Reporting to the Food Manager, the grocery clerk is responsible ensuring the grocery section of the Food Store is well-stocked for our guests.  He/she is responsible for providing prompt, courteous and knowledgeable service to guests while ordering, receiving, warehousing, stocking and rotating merchandise in the Grocery Department and while keeping safety a top priority.  He/she creates and builds product displays, ensuring proper fronting of products, and handle product damages and credits according to company policy.  He/she maintains a neat, clean and visually appealing sales area and warehouse/receiving area and performs other tasks as required in an efficient manner within company policies.
