Description

The Prince Albert Grand Council is now accepting applications for a part time Public Health Nurse. This position is one week per week. Under the direction of the Nursing Supervisor/Assistant Nursing Supervisor, the Public Health Nurse will be responsible for providing Public Health Nursing services for 1700 residents of Hatchet Lake Denesuline Nation.

QUALIFICATIONS
-    Baccalaureate Degree
-    Eligible for registration in Saskatchewan
-    Ability to work effectively within a holistic team approach
-    Good understanding of population health principles and concept
-    Strong commitment to health prevention, promotion & community development in a First Nation community
-    Valid class 5 driver's license
-    Excellent interpersonal skills
-    Ability to conduct group/individual educational sessions

ASSETS
-    2 years related nursing experience
-    Previous experience with electronic immunization systems
-    An ability to speak/understand Cree
