Responsibilities
Marketing
Facilitate the promotion of Matrix services through media & advertising
Assist representing the Matrix to organizations such as other local businesses, sports organizations & youth groups
Distribute information about the Matrix to strategic partners & seek out sponsors for Esports tournament & league events
Manage social media & online communications, including the Matrix website, Wikipedia, Facebook, Twitter & other online resources
Help develop effective marketing strategies for different market segments
Build, design & gather content for brochures, ads, posters & various promotional materials
Event Planning
Serve as a key member of the events team to facilitate the planning & identification of events at the Matrix hosted by external parties & by the Matrix
Plan, organize, & handle event logistics
Coordinate & manage tournaments & leagues
Develop & execute event opportunities
Respond to event related phone calls, email, social media & inquiries
Qualifications
Excellent organizational skills & attention to detail
Superior communication skills, both written & verbal
Above average technical knowledge of video game consoles & PCs
Solid knowledge & interest in gaming, particularly LoL, DOTA, CSGO, PUBG & Fortnite
Prior experience with marketing, SEO, Google AdWords, social media &/or event coordination an asset
Willingness to learn the business operation from the ground up & fill in as needed in daily operations
Must be able to take direction & work independently & as part of a team
Advanced skills in Microsoft Word & Excel
Advanced experience with Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator
