Job Description: Reporting to the Site Manager or Provincial Leader of Medical Physics the Physics Assistant assists the Medical Physicists in performing a variety of radiotherapy quality assurance procedures, performing routine dosimetry measurements, maintaining radiation physics measuring equipment and designing and coding computer software.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Physics or related discipline
Experience
No previous experience required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Proficiency with a variety of computer systems, software applications and knowledge of computer programming.
Ability to effectively communicate factual information both orally and in writing.
Ability to operate a variety of scientific instruments.
Accuracy of fine motor movements required for data entry and performing QA tests.
Human relations skills required to ensure compliance and promote acceptance through negotiating with staff and suppliers where there is a requirement to resolve the conflict or situation.
Moderate Judgment and problem solving skills are required to select the most appropriate action from a variety of alternatives.
