The suitable candidates will perform the following duties:
Liaise between home and school regarding school related issues, attendance and home visits;
Establish and maintain an adequate parents group to meet on a monthly basis;
Initiate parenting program which reflect the needs of the school and/or community;
Establish and maintain a process for checking attendance of students;
Ability to work with inter-agency groups and organizations to provide necessary services to students;
Promote a positive school climate and school pride for all students;
Ability to assist in the establishment of a student representative council;
Promote positive public relations of SMVS and the LLRIB;
To participate in the regular school supervision of students.
The suitable candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Minimum Grade 12 diploma; Diploma in Social Work or Counseling preferred;
Previous experience in a school setting and/or working with students;
Must have a valid drivers license;
Excellent written and oral communication skills;
ASIST First Aid;
Must have a vaild Drivers License;
Must provide a satisfactory Drivers Abstract and Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check.
