The Sharon Van Cleave Child Care Centre invites applications for the following Early Childhood Educator position:
Temporary full-time ECE position working with infants and toddlers.
We are a 22 space teen center that serves families with children ages 2 weeks through 2.5 years. Our philosophy embraces the belief that children develop best by exploring the world around them at their own pace. Minimum requirements:
ECE Certificate/Level II Certification
Current First Aid and CPR
Well developed interpersonal, and relationship building skills; ability to establish rapport and excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience and sensitivity in dealing with members of differing cultural and racial backgrounds,
High level of professionalism, confidentiality and diplomacy.
Patient, warm, energetic, flexible, sensitive and responsive
Clear and Current Criminal Records check.
Ability to work a shift within the hours of 9:30 am to 2:30 pm/22 hours per week.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to appropriately representing the Sharon Van Cleave Child Care Cenre in the following areas:
Educators ensure that a safe, developmentally appropriate, responsive, emergent curriculum/project approach is carefully planned and implemented in accordance with all relevant rules, legislation, policies and procedures of the Centre and within Saskatchewan. The educator will form positive relationships with all children, families and colleagues. You will possess a genuine passion for working with young children and families that has been confirmed through your prior experiences in the ECE field.
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)
- First Aid Certificate
- Early Childhood Education Diploma or Degree
- Reggio Emilio Approach to Early Childhood Education Training
Early Childhood Education Skills
- Assess the developmental level of children
