Description

Software Systems Engineering is designed to develop engineers skilled in the professional construction and engineering of software systems and their life cycles. Examples of such systems include World Wide Web transactional systems, management information systems, interactive multimedia systems, game software systems, mobile computing, decision support, artificial intelligence, web portals, network technologies, cloud computing, and security systems.

Applications are invited for a tenure-track faculty position in the Lab Instructor category. A strong commitment to teaching and development of lab courses as well as faculty and university service is required with a preference for individuals with industrial and/or previous teaching experience. The successful candidate must have the ability and enthusiasm to conduct
undergraduate lab courses in one or more of the areas of specialization as well as in core Software Engineering concepts. The candidate will be expected to become knowledgeable in at least one additional specialization area over the course of their employment. The ability to work in a team environment within the Software Systems Engineering program is a valued characteristic of the successful candidate.

Applicants should have a minimum of a B.A.Sc. or equivalent in Software Engineering or a closely related field. The candidate should also have the appropriate credentials for registration as a Professional Engineer in Saskatchewan.
