Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:  
The primary function of this position is to:  Analyze, identify and manage freight and delivery processes. As well as other administrative duties.
The primary goal of this position is to:  drive sustainable freight/delivery cost-effectiveness while maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively analyze internal/external freight and delivery processes.
Develop and interpret reporting for freight and delivery process evaluation.
Maintain up to date fuel surcharge for freight calculator.
Ensure all freight rates are current and up to date for each carrier.
Manage vendor relationships to influence and negotiate provided service levels.
Maintain close liaison with supporting departments to promote and ensure overall maximized support, co-operation and understanding.
Complete Employee Performance Appraisals, and schedule and attend regular 1-on-1 meetings with direct reports.
Manage employee work schedules and report all pertinent payroll information in a timely manner.
Coordinate Regina deliveries to maximize efficiency and decrease costs.
Ensure local delivery drivers are meeting delivery targets and coach on performance numbers.
Follow up on day to day maintenance and repairs of delivery vehicles.
Approve payment of freight invoices and ensure their accuracy.  

Secondary
Train new employees as required.                      
Complete all applicable Quality Records and associated duties.
Complete applicable safety training as required, and maintain a current understanding/compliance of organizational OHS policies and guidelines.
Miscellaneous duties/projects as assigned.
Maintain work area(s) (safe/clean/well-organized).
Provide overtime support as appropriate

QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong experience, knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Freight and distribution knowledge.
Post-Secondary Education in related field: Procurement/Logistics/Business
