Duties & Responsibilities
-Supervise/lead projects to ensure successful project execution according to company & client standards
-Perform maintenance, test, troubleshoot, & repair of low, medium & high voltage equipment in a safe & efficient manner
-Commission, & start-up low, medium, & high voltage equipment & apparatus associated with an electrical power system
-Act as liaison with subcontractors & clients, develop customer service relationships
-Provide mentorship to junior technologists & support to team members
-Ensure completion of technical reports & test sheets
-Conduct work in a manner prescribed by JA Techs Occupational Health, Safety & Environmental Manual
Skills & Qualifications
-Diploma from recognized Electrical Engineering Technology program
-Registration with applicable professional association in good standing
-Minimum 3-5 years field experience on industrial/oil & gas/utility sites with proven leadership experience
-Able to manage multiple priorities
-Experience with testing equipment (Omicron, Doble, etc.) & relay testing with various equipment (SEL, GE, Siemens, ABB, etc.)
-Experience in substations
-Ability to understand & perform technically complex calculations
-Strong knowledge of drawings (wiring, schematic, & layout)
-Valid Drivers Licence
-Able to travel & remain at project sites as required
-Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
