University of Regina Students Union (URSU) requires a Security Team Member who will be responsible for assisting with the overall security of University of Regina Students Union (URSU) grounds. He/she is responsible for the safety of University of Regina Students Union (URSU) customers, employees and property. The Security Team Member must instill a strong sense of safety to all customers and employees within the University of Regina Students Union (URSU). The Security Officer understands his/her role as brand ambassador and provides positive brand experiences to all customers.

The Security Team Member understands his/her role as brand ambassador and provides positive brand experiences to all customers who should be able to have a secure, safe and enjoyable experience in our spaces.

The Security Team Member will ensure that the clientele are of the legal drinking age and that capacity rules are followed. The Security Team Member will demonstrate a high degree of tact and conflict resolution skills in dealing with unruly patrons and will not use excessive force in dealing with clientele.

Typical shifts are Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday evenings, but flexible availability is critical as we often staff security at special events where alcohol may be involved.

Students currently studying at the University of Regina will be preferred.
