This is a permanent part time position, approx. 1225+hours/year with some flexibility. This position is to provide for succession planning as the current Foreman is retiring in July, 2020. The successful applicant will work with the current Foreman to become familiar with the operations and obtain their water/wastewater training. The Foreman is responsible for the water/wastewater systems, streets, maintenance of Village buildings and properties, vehicles and equipment.
A Certified Operators is preferred, however not required as the Village is willing to train the applicant however they must be able to obtain the courses required to qualify for Operator Certification within 15 months of hire.
Certification required Class 2 Water Treatment, Class 1 Water Distribution, Class 1 Waste Water Treatment and Collection, WHMIS and Aquatic Applicator License.
A valid class 5 driver's license and knowledge of operating and maintaining equipment is an asset.
If training and courses are required the applicant will be expected to start on the job as determined by Council, Public Works Foreman and negotiated with the applicant.
This position will remain open until a suitable candidate is selected.
