Description

Those who are looking to join a highly motivated, growing senior care home, are encouraged to apply for our Dietary Aide position. We are currently seeking a Dietary Aide to prepare the dining room and tables, provide meal service to residents and maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining and kitchen areas.

The successful candidate must have their Food Safe Certificate and a clear criminal record check upon hire. They will ensure full compliance with nutritional standards, special diets, , internal procedures and government regulations while preparing and serving foods and beverages to all residents.

Other duties may include prep cooking, taking snack cart and meals to residents rooms as well as working in the dishwashing area.

Must be available for call ins, short notice, vacation relief and a available to work Monday to Friday, day shift or evening shift.

 

Skills and Abilities

Dishwashing Skills
 - Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware and flatware
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)
 - WHMIS
 - First Aid Certificate
 - Food Safe Certificate
Counter Attendant and Food Preparer Skills
 - Prepare, heat and finish simple food items
Kitchen Helping Skills
 - Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit
 - Remove kitchen garbage and trash
 - Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas
 - Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment
 - Sweep and mop floors
Bussing Skills
 - Set tables
 - Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas
 - Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs
