Description

Our client, the African Canadian Resource Network Inc. (ACRN) is a non-profit organization founded in 2014, based in Regina, Saskatchewan.

Their mission is to serve as an umbrella organization and collaboration that addresses the unique challenges and needs of Canadians of African descent, specifically those related to immigration, integration and full participation in Saskatchewan.  They provide services, information and referrals, host cultural events and undertake research to promote programs and policies that support capacity building, full participation and integration.

As Project Manager, you will play a strategic role in managing and overseeing an exciting 2-year pilot project that will provide "Visible Minority" Newcomer Women with training, improved access and mentorship services to support advancement within the Canadian labour market.

Your responsibilities will include establishment of the project operations system and its management, building capacity and partnerships at the settlement agency level and within the community, training, supervision of staff and project quality assurance.    

In collaboration with the Executive Director and stakeholders, you will:  
1. Review the existing high-level program framework and all existing requirements, documentation and alignment with approved resources.  
2. Complete detailed stakeholder project reporting requirements, obtaining approval of program objectives and documenting them.  
3. Collect additional information and prioritize all requirements in line with program objectives.  
4. Define the program scopeand seek approval from the funders.
5. Maintain a detailed schedulewith defined roles and responsibilities for all stakeholders. 6. Develop a detailed budget.  
7. Update other related plans and processes that enable the sound and professional execution of the detailed project/program plan.
