Description

The Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure is seeking a motivated and strategic Executive Director of Operation and Maintenance for an exciting one (1) year term. In this position, you will be responsible for providing strong leadership for the planning, scheduling, delivery and monitoring the operations of the regional transportation systems including ferries to ensure traffic safety and mobility on the provincial transportation network. This position will be responsible for the regional maintenance, traffic engineering and administrative branches.  

Reporting to the Assistant Deputy Minister of Operation and Maintenance, you will have solid strategic, analytical, problem solving and public consultation skills in order to develop short and long term plans for the region that aligns with the ministries priorities, program goals and objectives to ensure a safe and sustainable provincial transportation network in support of provincial economic development.  

As the successful candidate, you will possess a degree in Engineering from a recognized university and hold a membership in the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan. You will have a proven track record as a creative, innovative and results oriented manager, a demonstrated ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships and an extensive knowledge of highway engineering principles and methodologies. You will also have the ability to operate independently and make decisions regionally that are consistent with overall organizational goals and corporate policy.
