Description

Viterra is seeking a Truck Logistics Coordinator to work in our Head Office located in Regina, SK. The successful candidate will be responsible for dispatching and scheduling shipments within transportation logistics, as well as maximizing freight spreads and overall costs.

Key Responsibilities:
Ensure all shipments are on schedule and booked within contract periods as defined by the sales contract terms.
Participate in forward booking of freight as required in order to secure cost effective transportation of commodities.
Analyze freight variance reports in order to maximize freight spreads and overall costs.
Assist in managing shippable stock inventories and initiating transportation plans that allow for maximum utilization and efficiency.

Knowledge and Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Analytical thinker with a keen eye for detail.
Enjoys a challenge and thrives in a fast-paced and changing team environment.
Has the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external customers in a diverse industry.

Education and Qualifications:
Minimum of two to three (2-3) years experience in grain handling and inventory management.
Grade 12 or equivalent.
Basic understanding of the Canadian Grain Industry would be considered an asset.
