Facility: 315 Avenue M South
Job Description: As a member of the Interdisciplinary Team and under the general direction of the Out-of-Scope Manager, is responsible for the day to day client service delivery (development, implementation, delivery and assists with evaluation) of Addiction Services. Performs clinical case management, community/program education and community/program development.
Required Qualifications

Degree in Addictions Counseling or Human Service
Valid Saskatchewan Drivers license
Experience
Two years of recent field experience as Addictions Counsellor. Experience in program development, delivery and evaluation required. Demonstrated successful line supervision including experience with clinical skill development training.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Thorough knowledge of substance abuse and addictions, cause and effects, evidence based models of treatment intervention and their application to diverse populations
Ability to deal with life-threatening situations, including suicide
Comprehensive skills in case management, collaboration, program development and evaluation, and emergency response
Knowledge of individual, family, group, and crisis counselling methods.
Flexibility to work evenings and respond to occasional crisis calls from colleagues and clients outside of working hours.

Field Hours
Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement.  HSAS seniority within the Saskatchewan Health Authority will be considered under the Selection Criteria.

Expected Start Date: August 27, 2019
Expected Up To Date: January 16, 2021
