REACH (Regina Education and Action on Child Hunger) is a Regina-based non-profit, charitable organization, overseeing child nutrition programs and managing food security initiatives, along with other food-related and community development activities. As the Education Assistant, the successful candidate will assist the Food Security Education Supervisor with all Food Security Education programs (mostly cooking programs) and be responsible for some of their own programs. Degree or certificate in nutrition, home economics or food services or an appropriate combination of education, training and experience (GED or Grade 12 diploma with experience will be considered). Safe Food Handling Certificate & First Aid Certificate will be required (can be obtained after hiring) Drivers licence and vehicle is required (mileage reimbursed). Clear Criminal Record Check is required. Posting will remain open until suitable candidate is found. Part time Term position(20 hours/week); September 2019-February 2020. Hours 1:30-5:30pm with some flexibility and some evening work may be required. This term is to cover a medical leave and could be extended.
