Description

We manufacture technically-advanced, self-propelled pothole patchers for markets around the world.

We are seeking an Assembly and Service Technician who will have a key role in building and servicing our Python Pothole Patchers.
The Assembly and Service Technician is responsible for creating accurate product and jig drawings, assembling products, training customers in the operation and maintenance of products and diagnosing and repairing customers units.

To ensure a solid understanding of the product, the successful applicant will spend the first 6 months assembling products on the shop floor.

Duties

Schedule parts delivery, assemble into kits and deliver to production line on schedule
Count and sort inventory and manage inventory status list
Report expected parts shortages
Monitor maintenance parts inventory
Operate forklift
Create product drawings
Assist in assembly of units
Diagnose and repair units in shop and on-the-road, including:
- Electrical and hydraulic
- Cooling and lubrication systems
- Transmissions, drive trains
- Cable-operated attachments, winches, compressors, pumps, electric generators
Hydraulic pumps, safety valves and other mechanical components
Install new and add-on equipment
Perform test drives on newly-manufactured products
Maintain demo unit
Maintain customer database
Train customers on operation and maintenance
Update manuals
Assess warranty claims

Requirements

Two-year mechanics diploma, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
Three or more years of work experience in a related position. Preference to applicant experienced in automobile, heavy equipment or agricultural machinery
Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor and Microsoft Office
Good communication skills
Ability to travel to customer sites for service
Valid drivers license and current passport
