Description

How you will spend your time:
Reporting to a Manager, these positions join a team of professionals responsible for oversight of institutions within the Saskatchewan credit union system. You will:
- develop and maintain effective relationships with the board of directors and senior management teams within a group of credit unions
- monitor the performance of institutions to proactively identify risk and communicate actions required to mitigate risk to depositor funds and the guarantee fund
- utilize your knowledge in the areas of corporate governance, finance, and credit risk management to support monitoring and understanding of the financial services environment
-assess regulatory approval requests from institutions to ensure compliance with legislation
- support the maintenance of the regulatory framework through research and development

What you'll need:
- a degree in business administration/commerce or related field
- several years experience in a fast paced business environment, preferably with exposure to financial services or a regulatory environment; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
- completion of, or working towards, a professional designation would be considered an asset
- the ability to interpret and apply policy, legislation and regulation
- demonstrated knowledge of corporate governance, strategic and risk management, project methodologies and financial management practices
- proven success in communicating and facilitating discussions with key stakeholders
- core competencies focus on decision making, problem solving, impact and influence, relationship management and conflict resolution
