Description

We manufacture technically-advanced, self-propelled pothole patchers for markets around the world. We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer, responsible for developing designs for products and product components,and for creating and updating models, drawings and documentation.

DUTIES
Design road maintenance equipment, and complex mechanical components
Use research, analytical, conceptual and planning skills, mathematical modelling and computer-aided design
Create and maintain Bill of Materials
Create and maintain release packages and design history files
Validate engineering designs by testing protocols and analyzing statistical data
Ensure ongoing compliance with local, national, and international standards & legislation
Ensure designs can be manufactured reliably by working with production
Ensure products perform consistently in specified operating environments and are safe and efficient
Design improvements to current products and modifications following prototype tests
Create and refine part and assembly drawings
Produce detailed specifications
Solve complex problems in conjunction with production, sub-contractors, suppliers and customers
Create instructions for installation of update kits
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Manage projects using engineering principles and techniques
Design and develop machine tools and jigs for use by production
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new technologies, methods, tools and systems.

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Licensed Professional Engineer
Five years of relevant experience with preference to applicant experienced in automobiles or construction and agricultural machinery
Skilled in use of design software, including Autodesk Inventor and/or Solid works
Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Strong written and verbal skills
High level of organizational and time management skills
