Home Hardware is looking for an outgoing, team oriented and self-motivated Retail Sales Supervisor with experience in merchandise and inventory.
The Retail Sales Supervisor is generally responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the store as assigned by the General Manager. These duties commonly include supervision of personnel, serving as manager in his/her absence; helping to meet sales and financial objectives, including advertising and promotions planning; working on special projects; supervising inventory, merchandising, and pricing. The Retail Sales Supervisor performs all assigned tasks with sufficient speed and accuracy to avoid adverse impact on the level of service to customers.
Position Responsibilities:
-Provide guidance and supervision for store Staff Members as directed by the General Manager.
-Be a good example for other employees through your ability and desire to assist customers and to maximize sales.
-Provide merchandising services, such as: implementing planograms, maintaining displays, stocking and tidying shelves.
-Know the store, departments and availability to efficiently respond to customer inquires.
-Assist with reviewing and ordering from flyer events well in advance of deadlines.
Requirements:
-5 or more years retail management experience.
-Previous retail merchandising experience.
-Ability to make decisions with integrity
-Ability to plan, organize and prioritize efficiently to effectively handle their daily responsibilities and serve our customers.
-Capacity to work independently and seek out assistance as required.
Assets to this position:
-Strong knowledge of merchandising and inventory
-Business administration diploma (or similar)
-Familiar with POS system
-Knowledge of building industry
