The Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association is seeking a full-time permanent: Nursing Advisor, Regulatory Services.
As a registered nurse (RN) leader, you aspire to make a difference in your profession. You possess the leadership skills to enhance and promote safe, ethical and competent RN practice. Your open, engaging and decisive communication style with members, employers, external stakeholders and the public demonstrates your professionalism, accountability and responsibility to the regulatory process.
As a registered nurse (RN) leader, you enjoy fast paced, engaging work environment. You possess strong critical thinking to successfully facilitate the regulatory process ensuring consistent application of The RN Act, 1988, policies, procedures, & practices. You provide evidence-based leadership in responding to questions about nursing regulation & developing SRNA documents. You are proficient in obtaining, analyzing & summarizing information. You assess, evaluate & determine eligibility for RN, RN(AAP) and RN(NP) licensure; counsels/communicates with RNs, RN(NP)s, stakeholders & members of the public regarding RN and RN(NP) regulatory and legislative issues. You monitor licensure agreements and you support staff advisory committees as assigned. You may also represent the SRNA on national, provincial, and local committees regarding nursing regulation and health policy.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Current licensure with the SRNA or eligibility to obtain licensure with the SRNA.
- Masters degree in Nursing or related field preferred, as well as thorough and specialized knowledge in a program or service area to facilitate service or policy design, development and evaluation.
- Masters degree in progress considered
- Experience (approximately 4 years or more) working in one or more of the domains of nursing as an RN or RN(NP).
