Prairie Lily Early Learning Centre is looking for an Early Childhood Educator to join our team! We are looking for a strong, experienced Educator to join our team to work in a yet to be determined area of our Centre. At this time we are looking for an Educator with previous ECE experience who is familiar with the Play and Exploration curriculum. We have a great team in place already and are looking to further compliment our staff with this new Educator.
The successful candidate will be familiar with planning child led experiences, while being able to supplement their learning by offering new information, ideas, and invitations for their group. They will understand the concept of loose parts, and be able to offer that to the children. We also would like this candidate to be familiar with all areas of child development and programming, and be able to take into consideration all the abilities of the children in their group when planning activities.
Ideally, this candidate will have exceptional speech and language skills to support the children they will be working with. They will need to be experienced with using visual schedules, PECS, and other communication tools. We are looking for a patient, mature individual to fill this position who is able to work with children with all types of speech or other developmental delays. They must be able to work as a part of a team as well as independently when required. They must be motivated with a strong work ethic. As mentioned above, previous ECE experience will be an asset to this position, as well as experience using Hi Mama for daily reports.
This is a full time, Monday to Friday position. The shift given to the successful candidate will be the shift that works best for the Centre at this time.
