Description

Reporting to the Foreman, our truck drivers play a key role in ensuring materials and heavy equipment get to and from site. If youre an individual who thrives in a culture based on health and safety, respect, and executing high quality work, W.F. Botkin is looking for you!

Job Duties:
-Oversee cargo handling and secure loads, including equipment preparation, application of safe practices, and compliance with application Acts and government regulations
-Perform trip inspections and circle check
-Maneuver truck into loading and unloading positions
-Perform general maintenance on equipment to ensure vehicle is in good working order (i.e. - greasing truck 3 times per week, assisting with tire changes and other repairs as needed)
-Report any vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to vehicle(s)
-Ensure proper paperwork is completed in a timely manner
-Assist in the loading and unloading of truck
-Ensure cargo reaches its destination in a timely manner
-Miscellaneous duties as needed

Requirements:
-5-8 years experience operating a semi-truck with proven ability to maneuver extended loads; direct experience with loading, unloading, and hauling heavy equipment in addition to driving super B and side dump trailers is an asset
-Valid Class 1A drivers license with the ability to get to and from site
-Clean drivers abstract (please attached a copy of your abstract to your application)
-Ability to perform strenuous, physical tasks on a daily basis
-High attention to detail with strong values rooted in health and safety
-Ability to work in a high paced environment with high physical demand
-Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
-Flexibility to work overtime as needed and work out of town on an adhoc basis
-Steel-toe safety boots are required
