Description

The Brandt Group of Companies is seeking a Divisional Controller for its Brandt Industries Manufacturing division in Regina.

The successful candidate will contribute to a growing, dynamic manufacturing organization as the Controller and will oversee the accounting functions related to the manufacturing facilities.  Responsibilities include:
    Monitoring and strengthening internal controls
    Managing the monthly and annual financial reporting and budgeting processes for the manufacturing facilities
    Manage the accounting functions including review of journal entries, establishing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures
    Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly and annual operating results
    Planning and supervision of the external audit process
    Preparation of corporate tax returns and
    Overall responsibility for accuracy and timeliness of financial information.  

The Divisional Controller will be responsible for organizing monthly financial analysis and reporting, assisting with formulation of accounting policies, procedures and controls, as well as providing advice and guidance on all accounting matters including financial systems, record keeping, analysis, and reporting.

The successful candidate must have at least 5 years of progressively responsible and relevant manufacturing accounting experience, and have a professional accounting designation.  Attention to detail, accuracy, ability to multi-task and excellent interpersonal and communication skills are key to this role.
