Description

Luther College High School is now accepting applications for a new position providing supervision of study sessions for both the Girls and Boys dormitories, with duties commencing in mid - September 2019. This is a part-time position that would work well for recent graduates of a university education program or for university students with daytime obligations.  Duties will include supervising and assisting students who require supervised study time and reporting student progress to the residence staff.  The role includes guidance and help in the development of independent study habits for boarding students as well as assistance with high school class assignments.

Compensation for this position includes a salary of $16.00 per hour (paid biweekly), as well as a meal plan for supper should the candidate choose to eat with the students in the cafeteria.  The position will be three weekday evenings per week from 6:30  9:30 pm.

Luther College High School offers grades 9-12 education in the liberal arts tradition. The school is distinguished by strong community and academic excellence rooted in a Christian context. The full service dormitory community is primarily composed of international students from over a dozen countries. Therefore, the successful applicant will commit to supporting the goals of an independent Christian school and to being a positive role model for students from around the world.

Closing Date: September 12, 2019. Only candidates selected for interviews will be notified. Interviewees should be prepared to spend an evening shadowing one of the current dorm staff members as part of the interview process.
