This 20 month project will honour the lives and legacies, and increase awareness of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls, and LGBTQ2S individuals.
POSITION AUTHORITY AND JOB DUTIES:
- Reports directly to the Executive Director
- Act as a liaison between families, service providers, and community agencies in discussions, needs assessments, and protocol development
- Develop protocols with community agencies and members to aid in crisis situations that may arise
- Work with community members in reviewing any existing protocols, and identifying where additional access/services are needed for more efficient service delivery
- Connecting the northern communities with services and protocol development to services in the south for easier access when a family requires help with a missing person outside of their home community
- Conducting Community/Group presentations to La Ronge Area and Northern Communities when required on MMIWG and LGBTQ2S individuals, raise awareness on this topic, and issues faced by the populations represented in reports
- Coordinate events to honour lives and legacies of MMIWG and LGBTQ2S individuals

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Completed post-secondary education, preferably in the field of Social Work or Human Justice
- At least 2 or more years experience in the field of human services
- Combination of education and work experience will be considered
- Must possess a valid Saskatchewan Drivers License
- Ability to speak Cree or Dene considered an asset
