Experience: - minimum of 1-2 full seasons of Apiary experience required.
Job Duties: wrapping/unwrapping hives; spring and fall maintenance of hives; feeding; creating nucs; supering hives; pulling honey supers (80+ lbs.) to the truck deck and stacking; extracting honey; moving bees-must be able to work some evenings and weekends if need be.
Maintain bee yards; and any other assorted apiary work.
Most tasks are performed outdoors in all kinds of weather.
Work is repetitive and physically demanding.
Asset: the capability of driving a standard truck preferred.
Education: no formal education but with at least a Grade 12 would be an asset.
Valid driver's license.
Have own vehicle to get back and forth to work.
Requirements: to be in good physical condition and be able to work in a team environment.
Employment Details: an average of 40+ hours per week; must be able to work some evenings and weekends if need be.
Location of work: SE 14-56-8 W3 -our bee yards are located in the RM's of Big River, Shellbrook, and Canwood.
