Description

SeedMaster is currently seeking an innovative, forward-thinking and results-oriented individual to join our Senior Management team as the General Manager of Manufacturing.

You would be responsible for contributing to the strategic direction of the facility, as well as ensuring day to day execution in safety, quality, delivery, costs and productivity within the operations of the company. You would also be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with department managers and teams, ensuring integration of strategic plans within the facility.  

Key accountabilities include:
* Profit and loss/financial responsibilities
* Responsible for driving the site to achieve and surpass production targets and business goals and objectives
* Drives sales, scheduling, operational margins, product costing, customer satisfaction, safety, quality, inventory, productivity, organizational development and other operational margins
* Spearheads the development and implementation of effective production strategies and processes
* Provide leadership to ensure the facility is utilizing lean manufacturing techniques and driving compliance with the continuous improvement framework to optimize operational efficiency
* Ability to motivate, inspire and provide feedback to employees, as well as accepting and acting on feedback from employees

Qualifications:
* 5-10 years of experience as a General Manager of a manufacturing facility, or related field, is required
* Background in engineering is required; a university engineering degree, or equivalent, is considered an asset
* Ability to lead and motivate a professional team
* Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, ERP and Shop Floor Loading
* Proven track record of establishing and maintaining business relationships with key suppliers, clients, and stakeholders
* Ability to prioritize tasks and use time effectively in order to set action plans to achieve business targets
