Thorpe Industries is looking to add a new team member in the position of Safety Division Manager. Thorpe Industries is a COR certified building envelope contractor operating in the commercial and industrial markets in Western Canada, with a staff size of 150+ employees during peak season.

The applicant should have experience leading and developing a safety program of significant size and have the ability to manage additional on-site safety specific personnel. They should be familiar with all requirements for maintaining COR certification, ensuring all employees are trained and certified, developing and maintaining project safety plans and company safety manual, and all other duties that would come with managing all other facets of the Safety Department. This position is eligible to be filled in either Prince Albert or Saskatoon.

This position will be responsible for managing all safety aspects of the company, and as such 5+ years of management-level (off site) safety experience is a requirement.
Traveling to job sites to monitor and enforce company safety policies will be a regular duty, and 5+ years of on-site safety experience is required.
The applicant should be open to change and the modernization of a company-wide safety program, and comfortable using all of the most up-to-date technology available.
Applicants should have all relevant safety certificates, a valid drivers license, and excellent computer and organizational skills.
This position would be based out of Prince Albert or Saskatoon and would not require any extended on-site project specific work assignments.
