Your super power is your ability to translate analytics into concrete recommendations that'll make a difference. If you have a working knowledge of SQL language, relational databases, querying procedures and merging different databases, we certainly want to hear from you. You are comfortable using complex mathematical formulas, engineering standards, computer programs and scientific applications, such as geographic information systems (preferably ArcGIS). You will use this knowledge to evaluate the success or failure of traffic safety programs as the newest permanent, full-time Traffic Safety Analyst in our Traffic Safety Program Evaluation department in Regina.
You will be responsible for technical research work involving providing statistical and analytical support for research, evaluation and policy program development related to SGIs traffic safety strategy. Youll use your analytical skills to recommend appropriate statistical design and methodologies to solve research problems. The research services provided will support all areas of traffic safety work at SGI, including the Driver Vehicle Safety Services departments and the Communications division.
Requirements
Candidates must bring the education and experience to succeed in this unique opportunity after all, were counting on you. We are looking for candidates who have a bachelors degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Statistics, Experimental Research, Economics, Civil Engineering or Computer Science. Experience in utilizing analytical, math, and computer skills to reach conclusions is desirable. Alternative combinations of relevant education and experience may also be considered.
