This is your opportunity to help shape SGI CANADAs future as a major Canadian P&C insurance player. As part of the senior leadership team, the Senior Director, preferably located in Regina, will help develop the best practices and risk appetite for our Commercial Lines Corporate Underwriting department. Youll take a global view of the process design, monitoring and governance of underwriting with an integrated product management view. Engaging others through effective communication and collaboration is your not-so-secret power and youll use it to inspire and lead your team through changes supporting our corporate goals for operational excellence and sustainable growth.
Were looking for well-rounded experience in commercial lines underwriting. Youre going to need an analytical perspective and strong business acumen to visualize and deliver on the bigger strategic picture. Inspirational, business savvy, big-picture thinker. Youll be the champion of our Commercial Lines Corporate Underwriting area and the business leader we can count on to realize the growth opportunities we see in this rapidly evolving industry.

Requirements
Candidates must bring the education and experience to succeed in this unique opportunity  after all, were counting on you.  We are looking for candidates who have:
    A Four-year degree from an accredited post-secondary education institution in a relevant field of study such as Business or Mathematics and Applied Sciences.
    A Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation.
    Eight years of progressively challenging leadership experience in commercial lines.
    Four years experience in a technical insurance, statistical, actuarial, or finance position.
    Alternative combinations of relevant education and experience may also be considered.
