Description

SaskEnergy is seeking applicants who are interested in leading our Procurement team as the Director, Strategic Procurement.  The Director, Strategic Procurement directs and provides leadership for the Purchasing department, including the development, interpretation and administration of purchasing policies, procedures and practices; consulting with Company departments and external suppliers to determine business requirements; and ensuring governance compliance in the area of procurement. This position also develops and manages strategic sourcing programs.

Qualified applicants will possess:
- Degree in Business Administration, Commerce or Engineering.
- Purchasing Management Certification and Qualification typically obtained through the Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation.
- Seven (7) years progressive management experience including significant responsibility in a purchasing environment.
- Note: An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.

Additional Information:
- Travel, including overnight stays away from bid headquarters is required on occasion.
