Seasonal apiary harvest workers required in Kinistino, Saskatchewan for work in a commercial honey production operation for the 2020 season. Minimum 12 months Canadian beekeeping experience and valid drivers license required. English speaking skills would be an asset. Availability to work long hours including evenings/nights, holidays and weekends is a must. Heavy lifting required as well as ability to work in all weather conditions. Wage based on experience and knowledge. Potential to earn bonuses. Subsidized housing and transportation may be an option.
Apiary harvest Worker perform tasks such as:
-supering hives
-harvesting honey
-cleaning honey extraction and storage equipment
-honey extracting
-barrel moving, preparation, filling and storage
-manufacture, assemble and maintain hive equipment
-bee yard and equipment maintenance
-feed colonies and assist in medicating colonies
-assist moving and transporting colonies
-assist in hive evaluation and manipulation
Start date no earlier than Feb 2020.
