Payroll Administrator

Job Summary:
Processes employee payroll, performing necessary calculations, entering data, and producing payment. Initiates and maintains computerized records of all payroll information processed, including pay information, benefits, deductions and accruals. Develops and maintains payroll spreadsheets, reconciles and balances payroll information. Responds to inquiries from employees and requests and acquires information from employees concerning payroll and HR information processing.
Qualifications:
Two years (2) successfully completed post-secondary education in accounting, auditing, business administration. Supplemented with three years successful experience demonstrating the ability to do the following:
Canadian Payroll processing using a computerized system.
Experience with following Canada Revenue Agency Payroll Guidelines, EI, SGEU, P.E.B.A. & Labour Standards and all applicable deductions.
Experience in maintaining payroll records and producing payroll reports, including year-end processing.
Data Entry Skills with a proficiency in keyboarding at a rate of 35 net words per minute.
Mathematical skills with a high degree of accuracy and ability to perform manual payroll calculations.
